Every stage of early childhood brings something new. At Loving Touch, our classrooms are designed around children’s changing developmental needs, giving them the care, encouragement and age-appropriate learning experiences they need as they grow.

From our youngest infants taking their first steps into a classroom community to Pre-K children preparing for the transition to elementary school, each program combines nurturing relationships, purposeful play, exploration and learning in a warm, supportive environment.

2–12 Months

Our Nursery provides Loving Touch’s youngest children with attentive, individualized care in a calm and nurturing environment. Feeding, sleeping and activity routines are approached with each baby’s individual needs in mind.

Throughout the day, infants have opportunities for floor play, movement, music, stories and warm one-on-one interaction with their caregivers. As babies begin reaching, rolling, sitting and exploring the world around them, our teachers encourage each new milestone at the child’s own pace.

Consistent routines, careful sanitation practices and close communication with families help create an environment where both babies and parents can feel comfortable and supported.

12–18 Months

The Waddler stage is filled with movement, curiosity and exciting new discoveries. Our classroom gives children a safe, supportive place to explore their growing independence while remaining close to caring teachers who know their individual routines and needs.

Throughout the day, children are introduced to simple group experiences such as circle time, songs, stories, finger play and age-appropriate art activities. Plenty of active play encourages developing coordination, balance and confidence as children become increasingly mobile.

Daily routines also provide opportunities to begin practicing early self-help skills, communication and social interaction as children learn to participate in a classroom community.

18–24 Months

During the Munchkin stage, children’s personalities, language and independence begin developing rapidly. Teachers encourage that growth through conversation, stories, music, play and hands-on experiences throughout the day.

Children begin learning familiar concepts such as colors, shapes, animals, body parts and everyday words while developing their ability to communicate wants, needs and ideas. Classroom activities are intentionally short, varied and engaging to match the attention span and energy of young toddlers.

Sharing, taking turns, following simple routines and building relationships with classmates are introduced naturally through everyday classroom experiences.

2–3 Years

The toddler years bring growing independence, imagination and an eagerness to do things “all by myself.” Our classroom provides a predictable daily routine while giving children plenty of opportunities to explore, make choices and build confidence.

Learning takes place through hands-on play, stories, music, movement, art and classroom centers. Children are introduced to early concepts such as letters, colors, shapes and numbers while strengthening language, fine-motor skills and problem-solving abilities.

Teachers also support developing self-help skills, social interaction and toilet-learning readiness in partnership with each child’s family and individual development.

3–4 Years

Preschool is an exciting time when curiosity turns into meaningful learning. Children are encouraged to ask questions, express ideas, make choices and become increasingly confident participants in their classroom.

Our program introduces early literacy and math concepts through age-appropriate activities involving letters, sounds, numbers, counting, patterns and problem solving. Art, science, music, movement and imaginative play provide additional opportunities to explore and create.

Just as important, children continue building the social-emotional skills that prepare them for future learning—listening, cooperating, communicating, following routines and developing positive relationships with teachers and classmates.

4–5 Years

Our Pre-Kindergarten program helps children build the confidence, independence and foundational skills they will carry with them into elementary school. Classroom experiences balance purposeful learning with the play, creativity and exploration that remain essential during early childhood.

Children continue developing early reading and phonics skills, number sense, beginning math concepts, science and social studies through engaging, age-appropriate activities. Fine-motor development, writing readiness, communication and problem solving are woven throughout the day.

Teachers also place strong emphasis on classroom routines, responsibility, cooperation and self-confidence so children leave Loving Touch feeling prepared and excited for their next educational step.

5–6 Years

Summer at Loving Touch brings together active play, creativity, friendship and plenty of opportunities for children to enjoy new experiences. Our summer program keeps days engaging and varied while maintaining the familiar routines and caring environment children know from Loving Touch.

Activities may include arts and crafts, science, cooking, outdoor play, music, movement, special projects and other seasonal experiences. Our goal is to give children a fun, active summer filled with opportunities to explore, create and spend time with friends.

Summer activities and special events may vary from year to year, allowing us to create a fresh and exciting experience for each group of children.
