Our Programs
Nursery (2-12 Mos.)
Our Nursery staff is committed to giving your infant the most individualized care possible. Our caregivers provide each baby primary care according to his/her own schedule.
The health and well-being of your infant is our priority and we follow strict sanitation procedures throughout the day. Each child is given ample floor time to stretch, roll and sit up. Our caregivers love to do story time and music, and arts & crafts!
Waddlers (12 Mos. -18 Mos.)
The Waddler classroom is all about exploring and new experiences. The children are introduced to circle time activities such as finger plays, sing-a-longs and flash cards. Classroom activities are changed approximately every 20 minutes to always keep the children interested in their environment. Self-help skills are also introduced as the children are encouraged to clean up their toys, use utensils to feed themselves and put their cups on the counter after meals.
Munchkins (18 Mos. -24 Mos.)
Our Munchkin room stresses verbal communication. The children learn about their environment, themselves and their friends through stories and songs. Part of their curriculum involves learning basic colors and shapes as well as parts of their bodies, animals, animal sounds, and most importantly, how to cooperate and share with their classmates.
Toddlers (2-3 Years)
In our Toddler room, an emphasis is put on structure. Having a set routine that is followed daily helps these children make sense of their environment. Center time enables them to use their new-found sense of independence as they are encouraged to explore the classroom and participate in activities that are of special interest to them such as books, blocks, puzzles or coloring. Letters, colors and shapes are part of the Toddler learning curriculum as is toilet training.
Pre-School (3-4 Years)
Our Pre-Schoolers love to learn and we love to teach them! The Pre-School curriculum involves recognizing letter sounds as well as number recognition and how numbers are used to count small quantities. Fine motor skills are sharpened as they learn how to properly hold and use pencils and scissors. An introduction to science and geography is also part of the Preschool program.
Pre-Kindergarten (4-5 Years)
Our Pre-Kindergarteners are given the best opportunity to succeed in Kindergarten due to the fact that we work in conjunction with the local public and private schools to best prepare your child. The classroom is set up much like a Kindergarten classroom, and because of the guidance of our teachers, they have the social, emotional, developmental and academic skills necessary to excel in a Kindergarten environment.
These children are given a solid foundation in phonics to begin reading successfully on their own. Simple addition and subtraction, science projects and social studies are part of their curriculum. An introduction to foreign language is also part of the Pre- Kindergarten Program. After graduating our Pre-Kindergarten, each child is sent to Kindergarten with a winning attitude towards not only learning but most importantly, towards him/herself.
Kindergarten (4-5 Years)
The Kindergarten classroom at Loving Touch is your child’s final milestone during their Loving Touch educational career. In addition to phonics and math, which are the two core subjects of kindergarten, children will also learn science, social studies, and geography. The children in this classroom also partake in extracurricular activities such as art, music, and physical education. The students begin on to early reader books and advanced through a leveled reading program.
Remote Learning at Loving Touch
Our remote learning classroom is designed for students who are no longer attending school in order to reduce the spread of infectious diseases. We offer a safe and fully equipped classroom, as well as an on-site tutor. The children who attended our remote learning program will be learning through their laptops with their original school district and assigned teacher. Our tutor is there for guidance, in person help, to keep the children focused and on task! This is a 5 full day program between the hours or 8:00am and 3:00pm and operates separately from our Nursery School and Kindergarten classrooms.
Summer Camp (5-6 Years)
Our Summer Camp program is designed for our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten graduates, as well as children that will be going into first grade. Our summer calendars are jam packed with fun activities.
We offer karate instruction, science lessons, cooking lessons, swimming instruction (with licensed instructors at the Park Ridge Marriot), art lessons, petting zoo, and so much more. (All activities are unfortunately subject to change for the safety of our students and staff due to illnesses such as Covid-19)
Each day also has fun and age-appropriate arts and crafts and special projects that engage the children. It is a summer to remember at Loving Touch!
